Information for Health Care Professionals
Overeaters Anonymous does not concern itself with the medical aspects of obestiy, but with the compulsive nature of overeating. OA believes that compulsive overeating is a threefold disease: physical, emotional, and spiritual, which, like alcoholism and drug abuse, can be arrested by not cured. The OA approach to this problem is a resource which can enhance--not replace--your existing treatment programs for these patients.
We invite you to share information about meetings with patients you think might be helped by the OA program or contact us for more information.
